The North Atlantic Archaeology Symposium:
Viking Age and the Early Middle Ages

During the Viking Age and the Early Middle Ages the Orkney Islands, Shetland, the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Greenland saw colonisations of settlers from Western and Northern Europe. The culture and traditions, subsistence systems and livelihood are themes, which today are of main interest for the field of North Atlantic Archaeology.

The Symposium has 40 open seats. The organizers will prioritise participants with posters. The call for posters has now expired and the symposium is full. However, the symposium will be live streamed and you are still able to participate via our online options
