Jorie Johnson


Jorie Johnson studied Textile Design at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), USA and further studied and taught screen printing on on fabric at several institutions in Finland; securing a work study at Marimekko.
Works in public collections include the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, NYC, de Young Museum of San Francisco, and she has authored Felt Making & Wool Magic (Quarry Books, USA) and co-authored Fabulous Felted Scarves (Lark Books, USA.)
She has been principle of Joi Rae Textiles since 1983, and has lived at the last stop of the Silk Road for twenty-five years.
