Mary Harlow

Mary Harlow is an ancient historian with a keen interest in archaeological textiles and dress in the Roman period. In the past ten years this has been the focus of her research alongside the study of age and ageing and gender in Roman society.
Her interest in the wider application of this research in terms of intangible and tangible heritage have been in the background of her work for a long time but were seriously sparked by the CTR study tour of India in 2012, especially by visiting the Upasana projects in both Varanasi and Auroville.
